Lafayette, Indiana Speed Traps

35 mph limit , police sometimes hide back in park drive .

LPD usually sits on either side of road. In between Oscar Winski and Family Express gas station. Almost there every morning, Lot of people pulled over.

The speed limit on I 65 drops from 70 cars/65 trucks to 65/60 for ten miles through Lafayette. I’m a semi driver and they really love to pull big trucks over through there. Four wheelers are not exempt either. Slow down through here or turn your ears on.

350 bypass is heavily patroled and enforced by local and county units. Several fatal accidents have prompted extra patrol.

Going west on Ferry Street coming down the hill into the downtown area it is posted 25mph. It’s difficult to maintian that speed, but becomes very congested at the bottom of the hill. Frequent accidents, thus higher patrols.
