Mishawaka, Indiana Speed Traps
Douglas Road near Main Street
Parked in driveways around the fire station
Ireland Road near State Route 331
St. Joseph County Police routinely set up speed traps using residential driveways on Ireland Road, just west of 331. The speed limit is (I belive) 35 mph, but the flow of traffic is more conducive to 45 to 50 mph.
On U.S. 20, Between S.R. 331 and S.R. 19
One cop sits on an overpass overlooking U.S. 20 and clocks you. 5+ cop cars are waiting about 1/4 mile ahead around a corner. If your speeding, your toast! Also, if you are on U.S. 20, watch out for state boys sitting under overpasses.
3900 Block of LWE, right hand side of school
Heading east from SB, in what I suppose is in Mishawaka,IN. On LWE across the street from the elementary school on the opposite side of the road past the school sits a police car during the time children are going to school. Not sure how he clocked me or if in fact that he did. He told me I was going 46 in a 25, but seemed less than that to me. Very busy in the AM. Please be careful this is a school zone and this was my first ticket EVER. I feel that he clocked someone else and got me because I was the closest to him. I will be fighting this ticket in court.
Douglass Road close to the intersection of Main and Douglass
Douglass is a 45 mile and hour road but changes to 30 as you get closer to Main from the East. This is a hard street to do 30, a long, wide 4 lane street. A officer is sometimes sitting at the fire station waiting on you. By the time you see him, its too late. Careful.
