Salisbury St. between Grant St. and Robinson St.

This is a 20-mph school zone (when the yellow light is flashing) in front of Happy Hollow Elementary School. Police hide daily on this stretch of street, and I see multiple cars pulled over every school day. I hate it when people tailgate me, so I’ll drive the 20-mph speed limit when going south on Salisbury, then pull off to the side or center turn lane to allow the tailgater to get around me who will then be stopped for speeding.

Wiggins Street just as you are approaching the bridge

When you are in West Lafayette and going to Lafayette, if you’re on Northwestern Ave and make the left turn onto Wiggins St, it is one way going east. After going through the light at Salisbury St, there are cars parked on the left-hand side of the street. The car parked at the front of that line of parked cars, 80% of the time, is a police car. He can use his radar on cars coming across the bridge toward him from Lafayette going into West Lafayette, or he’ll get you as you are heading east across the bridge out of West Lafayette into to Lafayette.

Soldiers Home Rd

Traveling North on Soldiers Home Rd. just past the back entrance to the Soldiers Home is a vacant lot on the left. The police lay in waiting to nab drivers who barely go over the limit. Beware!
