Zionsville, Indiana Speed Traps
US421 southbound north side of the roundabout with SR 32
An officer will set an SUV normally on the west side of the road at U.S. 421 southbound just before the roundabout with State Road 32. They will clock you in either direction. If you are going north on 421 exiting the roundabout they will still whip around and come after you. Also they have another officer just a little bit further north on the east side of the road sitting in the dark waiting to also get you in case you try to speed off.
Templin Road (between Willow Road and Michigan Road)
They’ll clock you whether you are eastbound or westbound, though I gotta say: this is a deer run, so you would do well to obey the posted 30 mph limit for your own benefit. Also keep an eye on Willow Road north of the golf course.
Bloor Lane
It’s 25 mph here, but you’ll find yourself going faster than that. Guess who else knows this. That’s right. ZPD.
New 106th Street, east of Zionsville Road to the 4-way stop.
Four lanes, divided by a grassy median. Obey the 30 mph speed limit on this nice section of brand new, smooth road, and you’ll think you are driving the Model T cars at Kings Island. What an easy ticket.
Zionsville city limits
The whole town of Zionsville is a speed trap if you don’t observe posted speed limits. The local police frequently issue citations to those who don’t. Forewarned is forearmed. Take it from one who has lived here for many years and knows!
