119th and 69 Hiway exit North

Overland Park, KansasFeb 14, 20120 Comments

I don’t know what the heck was going on there today but, 3 police cars were sitting on the exit ramp. When the light turned green the first 3 cars turning on to the ramp were stopped. Don’t if they were speeding on 119th and were set up on the exit, or if they didn’t come to a complete stop at the red light. Just know, I was car #4 and was glad there wasn’t 4 police cars sitting waiting instead of 3! Would like to know what was going on. But would say don’t speed and come to a complete stop at the exit!!

Metcalf North at I-35 junction

from 56th north to the I-35 on ramp is down a steep hill. The limit is 55, but after you start downhill you must ride your brakes to keep from going over by the time you get to the bottom, where the police sit in the early morning darkness.

the Frontage road between 75th Street and 87th Street

Overland Park, KansasFeb 20, 20110 Comments

The frontage has been under construction for awhile now. The old speed limit on this road was 45 but due to Construction they have lowered it to 25mph. The police sit on the side on the road in the car dealers lots and wait to catch you.
I drive this road daily and have watched many get stopped.

Nieman & 128 Street

Be careful! The speed limit is 35, not 45 like the many of the streets in the area that run north & south. The sneaky cop hides in the bushes and points his laser gun at you.

Quivira & 119th Street

Major speed trap! The cops hang out in the park waiting for cars driving down the hill heading north on Quivira.
