US-69 South at the merger with Blue Valley Parkway
US-69 South curves broadly to the right to merge with Blue Valley Parkway south of the 119th St. exit. Two or three patrol cars will hide behind some trees on the grassy embankment between US-69 and BVP to catch you as you round the curve. They seem to use K-band and laser equipment.
anywhere on Quivira going south from 119th to 135th also on 135th from quivira all the way into Olathe
The Overland Park police heavily enforce the stretch of road starting approximately at 119th and Quivira and anywhere on Quivira as you head south towards 143rd. Also the adjacent stretch of road starting at 135th and Quivira headed west bound on 135th is heavily enforced by both Overland Park ploice and after you cross Pflumm the Olathe PD is generally posted up in places like strip mall parking lots or fast food places. You can guarantee you will see at least two cruisers running speed enforcement on any night between approximately 8:00 PM and really lasting all through the night hours. I live almost directly on Quivira and frequently watch as "street ricers," wups I mean racers 🙂 get screwed over with high fines for breaking the 45 MPH speed limit on the streets I mentioned in OP and Olathe. I checked unknown b/c I think that the local cops are starting to use laser as well, and photo radar is probably becoming close to being implemented in our cities and/or our whole county.
