Between Perkins Road and Interstate 10 on Siegen Lane the speed limit is posted at 45 mph. On Sunday mornings between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM State Troopers monitor this area. There is an overpass near St. George Catholic Church, and as you come over the hill travelling towards the Interstate, you will find a State Trooper waiting in the median. At this time of the day, there is no traffic on Siegen Lane, however the speed limit is 45.

Police officers on motorcycle will sit behind a tree at the corner of Cypress Ridge and Hickory Ridge pointed at traffic headed toward Coursey. They will also sometimes sit in the median at other locations along the boulevard. Residents of this neighborhood are very vigilant about enlisting the help of the police to enforce the 30 MPH speed limit. Since this is a main connection between Coursey and Tiger Bend, it’s very difficult to stay at 30 or below.
