Baton Rouge, Louisiana Speed Traps
Interstate 12 near Millerville Road
State Trooper sits on top of the Millerville overpass clocking east bound (toward Livingston Parish) traffic. You cannot see him from I-12, but he can see you!
Fairway Boulevard near Jefferson State Highway just past Drusilla
I have seen officers patrolling this street often, and in different areas. This street is completely residential and houses are close to the road with lots of foliage. I’ve seen them stand out in driveways and park the car behind bushes. There is one very sharp curve on the road, and a few others that they tend to clock just past. Be Careful! Speed Limit is 25.
Interstate 10 East
If you exit I 1-10 east @ Laurel Street you will pass a tiny sign that says you cannot make a left @ the signal. If you do there will be 1-4 police cars with Officers standing outside their units waving motorist over to recieve their citations. So continue straight through and find another place to turn.
Aster Street near LSU West Campus Apartments
LSU PD sits outside of the West Campus Apartments with radar, and will pull you over for exceeding the speed limit (something like 20 mph). They also watch the four way stop on the same road, and will stop you if you do a "California Stop"
Interstate 12 near Mile Marker 7
Trooper in a late model Chevy Suburban hangs out on the O’Neal onramp (facing West) to clock mostly truckers from behind using Lidar speed detection equipment (LASER). I pick up my kids from daycare on O’Neal, and I see him out there once or twice a month.
