Winnipeg, Manitoba Speed Traps

Just under the overpass going north from headingly speed limit is 70kms just before the bridge then its 60kms they are there mostly during rush hour am & pm.

Motorcycle units. Bikes parked on side road officer standing on sidewalk. Hard to see. Many officers take measures to hide behind posts/signs/parked cars/ect. Very mobile. Often set up for less than 15mins. Target areas that they receive complaints about.

Officer(s) camps out between the two bridges that constitute the ‘Freeway’ nailing speeders travelling > 60km/h. Given the avg rate of traffic is between 70-80km/h they make their quotas. Suggest slowing as you cross the top of the bridge, you can easily pick out any trap.

Several officers sit at the Legislature entrance using a tripod mouted lidar device nabbing speeders as they drive > 50km/h over the Osborne bridge. Constant enforcement (several days a week), esp. after dark (9pm-2am).

I saw a cop with his police motorcycle hidden in front of a parked van ready to nab vehicles heading westbound.
