Aberdeen, Maryland Speed Traps
State Route Rt. 40
About a half mile before beards hill road, in front of the billboard sign, there is a small dirt road that is an access road for the train tracks. I have seen on several occasions police hiding in there. Because of the fact that the road is covered by trees on both sides, it is virtually impossible to see the cop until you are right in front of the road, at which time he would have seen you. so just slow down.

The new place for Aberdeen police to sit is on the right shoulder beneath the overpass bridge as you are heading toward Havre de Grace, right after the ramp merge from Rt 22. The speed limit is still 40 but most people speed up to 55 before it is posted. You cannot see them because of the bend. They used to sit in the median by the Bay Rentals place but recently have been sitting under the brige. I have seen them as early at 5:45 AM and around 4 PM.

I was on my way to work when I stopped at a red light. There was an MP Patrol car comming from the opposite direction. When the light turned green, I started to drive then the Patrol car did a U-Turn and pulled me over. All I can think is that somebody else tagged me while I drove by the Golf Course. I was clocked doing 55 in a 40.
