State Route 47 near South Hadley Center

Hadley, MassachusettsJan 14, 20060 Comments

At any point on Rt 47 between Baystate Road and South Hadley Center, the road is heavily patrolled by Hadley, South Hadley and State Police. Police vehicles frequently park in driveways, mixed in with parked cars at businesses and on a small road entering Rt 47 at the bottom of the hill just over the South Hadley line. As this road has become increasingly developed, the enforcement has become more rigorous. The limits are 10 to 15 mph lower than many cars travel on this stretch of road. With the high level of enforcement, this area produces many citations.
