Leominster, Massachusetts Speed Traps
Mechanic Street near Mechanic Street
Leominster cops sit in parking lots on Mechanic St and Harvard St looking for speeders. Often the car is hidden to the side of the road with no lights on. Speed limit is an unrealistic 30MPH.
State Route 2 East & West near Interstate 190
Consistent on appropriate direction during rush hours
Nashua Street near Hamilton Street
Leominster Police will sit in the parking lots of the various factories along Nashua Street. Most of the time this is at night and they are pretty well hidden, but they do it during the day as well. Also, they will sit in the access road to the radio antenna off of Nashua Street near the Rt. 2 Connector. During the summer months, the bushes are pretty high, so the police are concealed well. I lived in Leominster for 27 years and even though the police have a pretty good reputation, there have been several cops who were more difficult to deal with.
State Rt. 2 Westbound, just after I-190 South exit
Just after you cross the bridge following the I-190 exit, there will be state troopers sitting at any given point along the long, right hand curve. Speed limit here is 55.
