Wayland, Massachusetts Speed Traps
Officer will stand at the intersection of Alpine and Sherman’s Bridge road shooting traffic heading towards RT 126 (Concord Rd). This is a very active road in the AM commute and posted speed is only 25.
I go by where they are building the new Wayland Center on Route 20 every Monday,Wednesday and Friday at 5:00am. Every time there is a Wayland cruiser in the driveway back about 100 feet from the road with no lights on.
This section of Rte. 30 crosses the Mass. Pike. There are no cross streets. Speed limit is 35mph but most people do about 50mph. This is a revenue enhancer.
Officers routinely wait in driveways of houses on right side as you head West toward Framingman. Speed limit is only 20 or 25, and the road bends making them well hidden as you accelerate from turning onto Stone Bridge from 126.
Cruiser parks on right side, heading East, about 3/4 of the distance from Rte. 126 to Rte. 20. He usually positions himself after the bend in the road, making him hard to see until it is too late.
