Grayling, Michigan Speed Traps

M-72 and Norway Street I was stopped around the corner going toward I-75. The officer said I was doing 59 in a 35. He wrote me for 5 over. I asked for print out from his Kustom Signal Raptor radar unit or to see the held speed on the display but he would not allow me to step out of my truck. I never was going over 50 mph even when I was in the 55mph zone out of town to the west. I was going slower than 40mph from city limit and was slowing down to make the 90 degree turn toward I-75.

Heading either North or South, state police are lazing tax payers on a hill facing south between the 4 mile and Grayling exits. One trooper lazes, calls another to chase and ticket, and there are as many a four troopers on weekends. Also, there is a heavy state police presence sitting anywhere they can hide on M72 between Mio and Grayling and Grayling and Kalkaska. The county police are out and about, but don’t seem to be targeting anyone in particular.

The sheriffs deputies rule this area. It goes down a slight incline, and he is hiding in the trees. There is no way to see him until it is too late. I think they cut this little area out themselves. I got one there, my wife got one there, and our friend got two….Hats off to them, but slow down there people.

When heading west out of Grayling. Between 3 to 7 miles outside of Grayling the officers wait for speeders and nab many many bandits!
