Novi, Michigan Speed Traps
A good general rule about speedtraps: 30 MPH limit. (Novi)
I read online that a speed trap "red flag" is: a 30 MPH speed limit on a secondary paved straight road, located where most of the other roads in the area are posted higher. Some examples in Novi are: 9 mile is 30 MPH past Novi (west); but the same area on10 Mile is 45 MPH. Similarly, Meadowbrook is 30 MPH, while Beck is 45 MPH and Wixom is 35 MPH. Guess where the cops are?

I have seen officers sit in their cars on Haggerty Rd attempting to catch speeders coming South on Haggerty over the 96/696 overpasses. you won’t see until its too late. Minimum Fine $150.00.

W 12 Mile at Meadowbrook/Turnaround
As of late, 2-car Police teams lay in wait at the never occupied "Meadowbrook Office Building" at the SW Corner of 12/Meadowbrook. One parks against the fence facing the turnaround (you need the turnaround to go S on Meadowbrook from W on 12 Mile); the other is by the parking lot exit on S bound Meadowbrook. If you do not come to a complete stop at the turn around, or exceed the speed limit on W 12 mile, one of the two will come after you. I have observed this several times.
