University Street

Rochester Hills, MichiganDec 20, 20040 Comments

During the pm rush as you head west on university towards downtown rochester, local cops will sit in the rochester school district main building. The speed limit is 25 but most people choose to do over 35, trust me that keeping with traffic will not help your cause when you get pulled over. I work at a resturant on that street and see cars pulled over daily.

Rochester Main Street Road near Avon Road

Rochester Hills, MichiganNov 30, 20040 Comments

When heading North on Rochester road (main street)from Avon, the speed limit goes from 45 to 35 to 25 (once you enter the downtown area). The cops will sit on the side streets crossing Main street and run radar.

Dutton Road near Brewster Road

Rochester Hills, MichiganNov 30, 20040 Comments

When traveling East on Dutton from Brewster, be aware of cops that will sit on your right off the side of the road up on the curb (in some wooded brush and what not) in a generally unmarked car (i.e.- white impala, black intrepid) They will also sit on the edge of the pass lane (as if you were going into a neighborhood) about a hald mile down, because the way the road rises up it makes if hard for oncoming traffic to see him/her. Over all, go the speed limit on Dutton, becuase i have even seen the cop sit in a driveway off of Dutton that was impossible to see untill youre up on it.

Livernois Road near Avon Road

Rochester Hills, MichiganNov 04, 20040 Comments

Cops will sit on the dirt roads to get south-bound Livernois. It is impossible to see them because there are those nice little hills that block the streets. They also like to catch people at the intersection where it narrows to one lane.

Hamlin Road near Adams Road

Rochester Hills, MichiganJun 11, 20040 Comments

Oakland County Sherrif patrol the whole stretch of Hamlin Rd between Crooks & Adams. There are 3 different places they hide. I suggest you go the speed limit as all 3 hiding places are not obvious until you’re too close. Watch for motorcycle police in the summer.
