Detroit Metro Airport John Dingell Drive tunnel

Romulus, MichiganMay 02, 20190 Comments

John Dingell Drive Tunnel, both tunnels north and southbound. Lights in the tunnel are off in the northbound tunnel (east side tunnel) on purpose making it pitch black. An airport police cruiser, pitch black tinted windows, no lights will be parked on the left shoulder, further up. He will get you as far as 600 to 1000 feet prior to entering the tunnel with radar. He is in the vehicle turned around pointing the radar. Limit is 45 and if you are over that prior to entering the tunnel, you will be pulled over and fined. Set cruise control below 45 and have camera on.

No signs are posted up to two to three miles of what the speed limit is. But the first sign you see is that you’re entering the highway. There is clearly no signs showing the speed limit is 45. the officer is parked on the side right before you see the sign stating that its 45. The road is even pavement look like it’s a highway with the lines. This ticket trap should be clearly be against the law. The officers stated no point but with an attorney the ticket cost $300. Who said some governments are corrupt

Police sit in a red unmarked Dodge Durango in the median near the airport on I-275. This car has someone pulled over every time I go through this area.

Coming off east bound I94 and making a right on Middlebelt

Apparently this is a no right turn on red. You can normally predict a no right turn on red intersection. This intersection there is no need to have this law other than to make money for the city. The signs are not easily spotted and again you would not assume this to be a no right turn on red intersection. There must have been 8 cop cars in that half mile road leading to US Park all writing tickets. I will stick with parking at Airlines Parking form now on.
