Hayes Road near west of 11 Mile Rd
The cops tag team. One sits on the side street and sees the car going faster than its supposed to (25 MPH). Even if you manage to slow down and see the squad car is not coming after you he radios this partner and that officer pulls you over. Happened to me about 4pm.
State Highway Gratiot 3 near Masonic Street
Roseville Police set up in or near Macomb Mall parking lot. They are watching Wild Woody’s for patrons coming out of this bar who have had too much to drink, but will not hesitate to grab an unsuspecting speeder. Look for them after dark, usually Friday and Saturday, but you will find them there occasionally on other nights.
13 Mile Road near Kelly Street
Roseville Police sit in the parking lot of St. Athanasius parking lot on corner of 13 Mile Road and Kelly. You will find them there any day of the week, usually between 1 to 4 p.m. and again after it gets dark.
11 Mile Road near Interstate 94
Police hide on 11 Mile Rd. under the I-696 to I-94 overpass. The speed limit drops dramatically from freeway speeds (65 MPH) to 35 MPH and the Roseville police exploit vehicles entering St. Clair Shores.
Maple Street near Interstate 696
Radar Car sits on the side of the road (Maple Street) just north of the 11 Mile Road Service Drive / Ramp to Westbound I-696. They are very strict. Got pulled over for 7 miles over the speed limit. Got a break with a ticket for 5 over … They also watch for ‘rolling’ stops at the corner.
