Sterling Heights, Michigan Speed Traps
Up to three police cars will line up on south side of 19 mile on a short street
between Schoenherr and saal. They come out one after another like bees
Police cars park in Southwest corner hiding behind trees waiting to see if cars are making complete stop at stop signs heading west on Clinton River from
South bound Hayes.
Going east on 17 Mile there is a fire station with traffic lights that look like they are part of the lights on Van Dyke, so you drive right through them. They are so close to Van Dyke you don’t see them. The police car sits in the parking lot on the north side of 17 mile and waits for you to go through the red light.
Royal Oak, State Troopers, Oak Park Cops are on both sides waiting and watching to take your money
Officer sits in residential cul-de-sac between Ryan Road and 17 Mile Road, by a city park opposite side of street. I had never had a speeding ticket. Officer said I was speeding, red pickup truck in front of me left me standing (was really speeding), and officer said he did not see the red pickup truck, but said that my vehicle was 20 miles over on his sensor (red pickup truck was traveling that fast). This officer stated he was the sergeant over all Sterling Heights police. Other residents in the area also followed by same officer and had to fight a ticket. Beware of Sterling Heights!
