Taylor, Michigan Speed Traps
South US 24 South of I 94
Exiting I 94 to South Telegraph Road the speed limit on the exit ramp changes from expressway speeds to 45 mph quickly. As you merge with the South bound telelgraph road traffic a Taylor police car who is sitting in the alley next to the Gardner White furniture store will be there to greet you with radar. Unless you have applied your brakes when merging into traffic on telegraph road you will be speeding. You will be signalled to pull over at which time depending on your record and attitude you will receive a ticket either for speeding (points) or for impeding traffic which carries no points and is removed from your record if paid within 10 days. These tickets are not cheap mine was $110.00 for impeding traffic (55 in a 45). The police officer then circles around the block to resume his position. Ten minutes later another car was pulled over where I had just been. I beleive signs should be posted to warn motorists of radar enforcement and rapid changes in speed limits.
Mi
Incredible! I was pulled over by a lieutenant pulling radar duty, I guess the money for the city is really worth it to stick a Lt. on the road writing speeding tickets, by the way, it cost me $85.00 for five miles over, what a rip off.
SouthboundTelegraph Rd just past I-94
I see this everyday!!! Officer and radar lie in wait while happy motorists exit I94 south onto Telegraph (24). Location – the Gardner White alley. He gets them coming down a hill and then pulls them over. I’ve heard the Taylor cops do this often in order to get paid for overtime they haven’t work….
Beech Daly between Wick and Goddard
A police car sits on Baker street between Wick and Goddard about a half mile in between the two main roads. Speed limit is 35.
Telegraph
