Edina, Minnesota Speed Traps
77th St between Hwy 100 and France Ave S
usually one cop managing the radar and another cop directing drivers to pull over into a nearby parking lot.
France Ave. south between 44th and Lake Streets
Road way dips and rises, police wait below line of sight.
Xerxes Ave. between the crosstown [Hwy. 62] and 66th street.
Serious traffic enforcement takes place here—speed limit is 30 m.p.h., it is very easy to exceed by 10 m.p.h. or more. Pay attention—ever since someone got mowed down here the police have been very active.
76th Street, between 35W and Xerxes/York.
On the stretch of 76th, between 35W and Xerxes (actually on the hill right before Xerxes), it’s 30MPH, and if you go over, they’ll nail you. They wait on side streets, and radar you. A cop will walk out in the street and point at cars, pulling over up to three or four at a time. I see it at least twice a week.
Valley View Road
Down by southdale stretch of valley view road, just past lights from 66th I believe, long stretch of road that winds around. Always see people in the morning usually pulled over, cops hide at blind exit on the right about 500m from the lights.
