Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota Speed Traps
Hwy 55 /Hwy 3
Northbound 55 motorists need to be aware that troopers frequently park under the Hwy 3 overpass in the median near the center support and radar people as they peak the hill and pass under the bridge. This happens quite often in the AM. Seen many vehicles pulled over at the next intersection, Hwy 55 and Argenta.
70th street between Cahill avenue and Blaine avenue in igh
On 70th street has hill by south valley park and north valley park, the speeding limit zone is 45. A police officer pulled over one of the vehicle on 70th street and got ticket for speeding in 40 speeding limit zone and in wrong name street, 2700 block 70th. Officially it is 45 speeding limit zone on 70th street. Police officer thinks it is 40 speeding limit zone and 2700 block 70th, obviously this police officer didn’t look at the speeding limit zone! they, any police officers, should have been familiar the areas in inver grove heights, Minnesota of the speeding limit zone and name of streets.
Concord Blvd.
Enough said. From where it intersects with Hwy 52 all the way down to Hwy 55. From the West Side to Inver Grove. I don’t recommend driving it after dark or on weekends either. Especially in the Jersey’s / King of Diamonds. They will be there… just waiting.
Highway 52 Southbound at 494
On Hwy 52 right before 494 West exit. They park on the west side of 52 and at night you can’t see them, then stop southbound traffic right after you get over the 494 overpass.
Hwy 494 and Pieper overpass
State Patrol stand on the bridge with a radar gun and radio to those squads parked further down the line in the medians; squad is parked off the bridge and unless you are going westbound on 494 you won’t see it thru the trees. Speed limit is a strict 60mph all along that stretch of 494 between Robert Street and the 35E junction, and they’ll enforce it !
