Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota Speed Traps

Many nights coming home from work, heading south on Hwy.3, there is a squad on the northbound side with its lights off, clocking people who are accelerating from the stop sign at 70th St., and coming over the hill. The speed limit is 50, and I am not a conscious speeder, but I have been stopped there because just while you are accelerating from the stop, you hit that hill and before you know it, you’re at 60 mph. They also speed trap that area during the day, too, so I guess it must be a lucrative area. They have not issued me a ticket yet–I guess late at night they’re more hoping to catch a drunk than ticket someone heading home from work.

Inver Grove City police park and wait on side streets and wait for traffic speeding between Robert Street and Hwy. 52. The speed limit is 35 and with good reason. This road is very narrow and has a lot of corners. It is also a very residential area. Watch your speed any time of the day.
