Maplewood, Minnesota Speed Traps

Maplewood police will sit in this service vehicle entrance to the city park. It is most noticeable when traveling south on McKnight after Holloway & before larpenteur. (near Ripley & Mcknight) It is on the left (east) side of the road. I have also seen them a few hundred feet north (twards Holloway) sitting in the driveway of some duplexes.

Squads are constantly monitoring this intersection in a vain attempt to keep the residents from escaping the trailer court into the city.

It appears that the cops mostly target eastbound Frost Avenue traffic from HWY 61 curve where it is too late to see them, but they’ve already got you. Police cars mainly seen in Maplewood Marina on south side of Frost Ave and in Black Top Driveway business lot on north side of Frost. Speed limit is posted 35 mph, but it is easy to due 45 mph + due to wide 2 lanes each way. Watch out!

Two squads that sit in the gas station on Edgerton between
Roselawn and County Road B..They sit way back and you don’t
see them until you go past them.. the tall bushes hides them..And when both squads pull you over they have those blue lights flashing and it looks like a big K-Mart special going on..But the Officers are nice..
