New Hope, Minnesota Speed Traps
Boone Avenue near North Ridge Care Center
On Boone Ave, between Bass Lake Road and 49th Ave.
Speed limit is 30mph, and many people do 35-40 since it is a strait-away, and there is no stoplights or stopsigns. Also the street is very wide, and cars can turn without restricting traffic.
I have seen officers sit on streets, and even a helicopter hovering overhead.
36th and Nevada Aves N
Boyz in blue like to park their cruiser on the grass on the SE corner of 36th and Nevada, and stand outside with a handheld radar. I live in the apartments right next to that corner and see cars pulled over all the time.
169 N at rockford road or bass lake
Late at night the cops will sit on the entrance ramps right at the meter lights. The meters are pretty well protected by trees and bushes. Once they clock you, they speed up down the ramp and pull you over.
Highway 169 North
From Highway 9 to 63rd Ave exit, New Hope police will normally place a officer at Highway 9 and then pull you over north of 49th Ave.
