Jackson, Mississippi Speed Traps
Officers sit at railroad tracks and use radar on cars coming over the bridge, down a hill and around a small curve where at the bottom of this hill is the next speed limit sign and they are more than 100 yards away trying to clock you. To stop you they stand in the middle of the street and point for you to pull over. It’s a joke! and if you don’t slow down and go around the traffic they let you go on… but if you are honest and slow down thinking there’s been a wreck, well guess what, you are getting a ticket. Don’t try going to court to fight it, the officer will come to court and say.. yeah, I remember her/him… and it’s been over a month ago! And they wonder why out of town people are getting scared to shop there, it’s getting to the point that we are even afraid of the police.
Motorcycle cops armed with handheld lasers guns sit along the interstate starting at high street exit all the way up to briarwood exit. Covering both north and south. They be out in numbers.
There is a natural downhill grade coming west on Mitchell. The speed limit is 25 mph but all cars will coast over the posted limit. JPD will be on one of the several side streets out of sight.
Regardless if you are going east or west, when you round the curve at Tugaloo College they have you. They are hidden on a side street and clock your speed when you come around the curve.
