Creve Coeur, Missouri Speed Traps
Interstate 270 near Olive Boulevard
Creve Coeur PD. loves to use Lidar on top of the Olive Blvd overpass shooting cars. The officer will hide behind the flower pots. He will clock cars 2,000′ away.
Lindbergh Boulevard near Olive Street
Soutbound Lindbergh lanes are well paved and prevailing speed is mid 50s. Just south of Olive the Creve Coeur police sit hidden. Just before reaching the interstate beware of the Frontenac police as well.
Ladue Road near Westbound from Hwy 40/64 to 141/Woodsmill
Ladue Road is VERY EASY to speed on because of the huge hills between 40 and 141–I’ve often said that if I opened a brake shop and called it LADUE ROAD BRAKES I’d make a zillion bucks…and you can be doing 60 and not even notice it!
I-270 at exits 13-16
Due to interchange reconstruction on I-270 at Olive (exit 14) as well as at Page (exits 16 A & B), the normal speed limit of 60 has been lowered to 50 (I have no idea when the construction is supposed to be finished), and the Creve Coeur Police have stepped up the enforcement of this stretch of highway in the past week or so. As I was coming to work today I was going southbound and on the northbound side, there were two seperate cop cars that BOTH had people pulled over. From what I’ve seen, enforcement seems to be heavier on the northbound side, but I wouldn’t put it past them to enforce the southbound side, too. Not to mention, if you get ticketed, the fine will be AT LEAST $250 while the construction is going on. There are even signs saying that the 50-MPH limit is strictly enforced — OBEY IT!!!
