As you proceed past the Scott City Exit (#89) on Interstate 55 you may be greated by a Scott City Police Officer on the right shoulder of the southbound lanes. He sits just past a turn in the road and you can’t see him until it is too late. Their neighboring town to the north (Cape Girardeau) has no doubt given the Scott City Police some lessons in speed trapping.
