Shrewsbury, Missouri Speed Traps
Weil Road near Behind Dierbergs
When you are driving down Weil there are many stop signs and cops like to hide on the side streets during the day you may see them, but at night it is really dark and you amy not see them and you might make a rolling stop and they will pull you over. When driving through this area make complete stops at the signs. Sometimes there are police cars with non one in there but that is very rarely.
Big Bend South Boulevard near Parking Lot
As you go South on Big Bend, you just made it past the Shrewsbury intersection and the stop light was green. You step on it to go up hill and catch the next green light at Laclede. On you right hand side, after you finished climbing the hill there’s a police car waiting for you in the said parking lot (on your right), next to (/before) a church.
Big Bend Boulevard near Shrewsbury Street
White Ford on the right hand side of the road as you drive South (yeah, and downhill too). The speed limit is outrageous (only 30 for that kin dof road is just an invite to contribute …). The police car stays in one of the parking lots just before Shrewsbury or in line with other vehicles parked on the side of the road.
Got a ticket there with no intent to speed. First, only 30 is ridiculous on that stretch of road. Second, you go downhill too. I got caught in a conversation and lost track of my speed. Got caught 17 mph over but the ticket said only 10 mph over. If you got caught, just be nice. After all, you did it… Plus it’s not really his fault his city enforces the ridiculous speed limit.
Murdoch Avenue near Shrewsbury Avenue
Heading eastbound on Murdoch Ave. after the Shrewsbury Ave. intersection, on the other side of the hill, the cops like to sit there and wait. They are very strict too!
Shrewsbury Ave. between I-44 and Big Bend Blvd.
The speed limit is 30 m.p.h. To Shrewsbury’s credit, they are always in plain view, parked on the side of the road along a sweeping bendin the road. Do not speed here. No warnings are given.
