Derry, New Hampshire Speed Traps
Police sit at the bottom of the hill sampling the traffic coming down the hill after the stop light intersection. It is a 30 MPH zone and you literally have to ride your brakes down the hill to avoid exeeding the speed limit.
Hampstead Rd just past the 102/28 rotary is a steep 30 mhp hill. Cruisers tend to sit at either the Boys Club or the East Derry Fire Department to catch people struggling to get up the hill or to catch people coasting down the hill.
Police swarm near or around Cumberland Farms, making RT 102 through Derry an area to avoid. (Find an alternate route) Never enter Derry without first having a friend checking all of your operating and signal lights. All times of day on main roads in Derry are highly enforced, but night time is especially troubling.
Traveling west on Rt 111 aproaching the Brookstone Country Club the road has a long down hill grade posted at 50 mph.At the bottom of the hill ,it drops to 40 mph.If you are clocked speeding in the 50 zone and stopped in the 40 zone you will be charged with the 50 zone speed in the 40 zone adding a big chunk to your fine!
They are sitting beyond the Bridge just off the highway. When you are heading south on I-93 you can not see them sitting there.
