State Police sit at the Department of Public works just past exit 4 around the turn and are not visible until it’s too late.

Tsienetto Road near State Route 102

Derry, New HampshireAug 21, 20040 Comments

Cruiser sits on side of road, closer to route 28 bypass than to route 102. It appears to be mainly set up to get the kids from the local school who speed up and down the street, however it is also used to gat the rush hour commuters who go down the road too fast. The cops are fairly cool about it, and I think they are mostly trying to educate people about thickly travelled zones. But students don’t stand a chance.

Rt. 28 By-Pass at the intersection of Tsiennetto Road. Just Beyond the New Post Office

Derry, New HampshireJun 10, 20030 Comments

This trap is mainly for south bound traffic. The cop parks his car in the employee entrance for the Post Office just beyond the intersection of the aforementioned roads. When travelling south on the By-Pass, you come down a hill and about half way down the hill the speed drops for 45mph to 30mph (typical speeds being in the range of 50-55mph). The cop will be on your right just past Linlew Road, an apartment development. There is a small patch of trees that provides enough cover so that for the unsuspecting driver, it would be too late.

Rt 28 bypass from RT 102 to Depot RD

Derry, New HampshireDec 31, 20020 Comments

speed limits on this road range from 30-40mph and they will stop you for the slightest increase, the worst is the hill from rt102 up to "west running brook" school the speed limit goes from 30 to 35 going up (you practically have to break the law or you will roll back down the hill) and goes from 35 to 30 going down, be careful. it is a wide, straight road and at 35 you roll at an increasing speed – police are on both sides of this hill and will stop you
