Police are sitting driveway as you come down the hill

Garretson Road near Country Club Road

Bridgewater, New JerseyApr 24, 20060 Comments

A new speed sign has been put up by the Bridgewater High school that says "25mph when children are present", which can mean when school is in or when children are walking around. It is so vague that police have pulled people over from 7am all the way to 9:30 since children were present at the start of the school day and at after school functions like PTA meeting. These cops really get a kick out of pulling people over, especially if you are younger. Be careful because the police station is right down the steet from the school and there are always police hiding in the student parking lot, in the bushes in the teacher’s parking lot, and the tennis courts.

Somerville Circle near 206/206 and Rt. 28

Bridgewater, New JerseyApr 24, 20060 Comments

After about 11 pm, the circle is not busy at all so a police officer sits at the stop sign at the bottom of the hill. So, if you are getting off 202/206 and pass the traffic light by TGIFridays, you will not see the cop until he’s caught you doing 40-5mph (which is the highway speed limit in that area). The speed limit at the circle is 25mph, so be careful because Bridgewater, Somerville, and State Troopers hang out at the Diner near the circle so there is always a cop in the area.

Interstate 287 near Interstate rte 22 west

Bridgewater, New JerseyJul 27, 20050 Comments

When you come off 287 exit 14 (I think) onto rte 22 west bound, Bridewater pd sometimes sit in the center median and nail the people coming off 287.. I know I got nailed 71 in a 55. So while on the ramp keep it at 55.

State Highway 22 near State Highway 202/206

Bridgewater, New JerseyJun 05, 20050 Comments

Rt22 westbound right after Rt 202/206 intersection. Many westbound traffic turn off into Rt 202/206, the road suddenly opens up and invites you to pass the 55 mph limit. But beware, a cop car is often sitting on your side road shoulder, behind a curvy wooded area. It’s already too late if you see him. Some time the cop sits in the median, at the same location, to watch traffic of both directions.
