Chatham cops love to sit under the Tri-Boro bridge at all different times. Speed limit is 65 there, and they don’t play around. Professional, but tough. They even have a motorcycle cop in town that is equipped with radar. I met him, a real nice guy, but still a cop.
Southern Boulevard (entire length) & occassionally other roads in the township
Main trap is steep hill heading west from Fairmont Ave. Have to use brakes to avoid going over 35MPH speed limit. Also random traps on 25 MPH streets. Most towns schedule court appearences within a month. This town will schedule the hearing within days, before the shock is over, so if you delay attending to the ticket, you may be rushed into paying the fine or if you fail to respond, have a warrant issued for your arrest. Furthermore the ticket is printed 1MPH over the 2point limit so that if you plead guilty to what you think is a 2 point conviction, you will get banged for 4 points. Outrageous!
