Brooklyn, New York Speed Traps
Easternpkwy n buffalo ave.
Officer stands outside of his marked patrol car facing north bound and he aims his radar at traffic coming south bound on eastern parkway cars have built up speeds which can exceed the 25mph limit on the block ahead so he stands about 20-30 feet from the intersection of buffalo ave. n easterpkwy he clocks you there then he jumps in his patrol car and stops your vehicle on the following intersection which is Ralph ave. going south bound my point is that cars have no time to slow down with a 25mph limit on a parkway
McGuiness Blvd & Calyer St
Northbound on McGuiness Blvd cop and his partner stand on the right side of road and shoot laser at the northbound traffic pulling over speeders at Calyer St. They park their car on the southbound side of McGuiness Blvd.
colonial road and wakeman place
65th street exit of westbound belt parkway splits and if you bear right you will enter the 2nd ave ramp which becomes wakeman place. There is a defaced 15mph speed sign located just before you cross colonial road. The 30 mph exit speed is cut now to 15 mph. There is a car parked patrol car on the right side of the street a few cars off the corner as you pass colonial road. The officer in the patrol car waves you to the side. There are no speed signs warning of the abrupt change in speed limit except the one 15 mph sign before colonial road. There is no chance to decelerate to 15mph, since the police clock you as soon as you reach colonial road.
Avenue I and ocean parkway
There is a speed trap on the right side of ocean parkway and avenue I. It faces both ways.
Prospect Exressway from last exit and Church Ave
Cop stays in marked police car and receives intercept orders from Lidar operator over radio. Lidar is operated around last exit, you will see small sedan parked on a shoulder, but Lidar operator is hiding behind the trees or overpass foundation. Lidar probably tripod mounted and has photo or/and video capabilities. They will only target you when you’re moving alone in acceptable weather conditions (no rain) early mornings on weekends. Lidar is positioned down hill so it’s hard to pick up even scatter. Always let rabbit ahead.
