Brooklyn, New York Speed Traps
Belt Parkway/Knapp Street exit heading west
Coming off the Belt Parkway at Knapp Street the speed limit goes to 30 MPH ramp speed. An
unmarked police car with radar on sitting just to the right of the exit ramp.
All day risk of a ticket.
Speeding through here is dangerous due to parking lot entrance and stores.
Ocean Parkway between ave J and L
The highway patrol stands in the middle of ocean parkway in an unmarked car in the morning hours usually when there is no traffic its easy to speed there and no way to see him
park slope 7th ave
on 7th avenue towards center of park slope, unmarked nypd. will stop you in center of park slope for everyone to see. blocks full lane of traffic
belt parkway exit 7 ocean parkway off ramp
as you are going off the parkway at the ramp, speed limit is 30 mph. as you were going about 50 mph on the parkway, there is no way you can slow it down to 30 mph at the bottom of the ramp or u risk getting rear ended by the car in the back. here come an unmark petrol car hide behind the ramp and if u r over 40 mph. they will get you quick.
Exit One on the Belt Parkway-just after the split going East
On the Entrance ramp, there is often an unmarked car with a radar gun pointed to the highway. If you’re headed Eastbound to Long Island, you’ll get pulled over at over 50MPH. At night, this car is impossible to see. Also, between Exit One and Two, headed to the City there are a number of unmarked cars who call cruisers to pull over speeders or anyone driving wrecklessly. I’ve even seen commercial vehicles pulled over here for violating the no commercial vehicle on the Belt signs.
