New Rochelle, New York Speed Traps

You can find cops anywhere along this stretch – often in driveways.

As you are driving down from Boston Post Road into New Rochelle’s Main street there is almost always a cop car at the gas station on the left side hiding and you cannot see him into you already passed. This is New Rochelle main trap and there is always a cop there or in the area so do not come into New Rochelle going over 30mph. Also there are sometimes undercover cars parked in the middle of the one way blocks that intersect Main Street after the gas station.

On Webster ave, with a 30 mph speed limit, the traffic is usually at least 10 mph
over that. Police presence on this appx. 1 1/2 miles of road is very frequent,
standing on the side in unmarked cars with radar.

There is often a police officer in the parking lot of St. Luke’s church. After you cross Clove Rd. I usually see him on the weekends during the day, and sometimes during the week, early to late evenings.

Waits in the Quaker Ridge Shopping Center late at night, this across the street from The Ursiline School. Note: There are many speed-traps along north avenue (some have been mentioned) and into Mill Road, Eastchester.
