Bell Boulevard near Bell Boulevard

There are cops sitting in unmarked and marked cars on Bell Blvd between 48th avenue and the Long Island Expressway, watching for speeders.

Clearview Expressway near Grand Central Parkway

Queens, New YorkJan 20, 20060 Comments

From Grand Central Pkwy to Throgs Neck Bridge speed is 50mph, but most people do 65-70 and the cop is waiting on both sides of the parkway (north and south) you have to be very careful. I find going around 55-58 keeps you under the gun.

Grand Central Parkway near Cross Island Parkway

Queens, New YorkDec 23, 20050 Comments

There are 3 spots where highway 3 hides.

Right before exit 24 heading westbound on the Grand Central Parkway going up the hill.

Right at exit 24 heading eastbound at the exit ramp facing traffic.

Right at exit 24 extrance ramp going westbound on grand central.

They estimate your speed by "eye" and then pace you. Some use radar. 78 is the magic number they use when they eye and pace.

PBA Cards do not work, highway 3 don’t care…
