12 South Exit Towards Whitesboro
The cop waits for you to come over that hill and he gets you, slow down when your coming over that hill. Heading into route 5 and the exit towards whitesboro.
Route 12 , North of Utica to Barneveld
State Troopers patrol route 12 very strict. People spending hours on the NYS thruway going 65 are a great target as they usually speed on this road.
On 12 north: After the big hill (crest) or on the way down. They usually try to get people on the other side who creep up in speed.
12 South: watch on on the hill going down.
On the arterial (Rt 12) under the Burrstone road underpass
Cops hide behind the trees on the East side of Rt 12 with their radar guns and get the cars coming over the hillcrest going over 55 MPH. They usually pick a nice sunny day,hide behind trees so they can mess up somebody coming home from work from 3PM to maybe 6PM. Good place to have their coffee and donuts also.
Parkway on Sage Court where Schoolcraft Road ends.
Utica polices lie in wait for east and west bound violators. From this vantage point they can nab cars in either direction. Road is near MVCC and can have heavy traffic.
Bleecker Street near D’eorios
The speed limit is 30mph and the rode is very straight and hard to go 30 mph. The state troopers hide either behind the burned out "Club 21" or on the side of the abandoned warehouse right next to it. People notoriously go much faster on this street.
