Broadway St & North St

Saw 2 APD cars pulling people over here tonight. Seen them there before also. They had one guy in the Citgo parking lot at the end of Hillside, possibly searching his car. Coming back they were hiding again, WITHOUT headlights on (illegal/entrapment). The k-band went off on my radar detector, I wasn’t sure if it was for real because there is sometimes a false signal in this area, but it was. One of the cars flashed their lights at me or possibly the car in front of me, but then again I was doing like 15 over. That’s all that happened though. The stretch of Broadway from around 5-points diner to I-26 should not be 35MPH. Safety-wise, you can do 50 with no problem. Just watch out, seems like the cops have nothing better to do.

United States Highway 19 & I-240

Just east of the French Broad River/Smokey Park Bridge. Seen 1 or 2 APD cars parked on the hill just before the I-26 connector between the east-west lanes so they can hit both traffic directions from this location. The speed limit is ridiculously low on this part of I-240 (50mph?!?), and needs to be re-evaluated by the city or DOT.

They all have unmarked Mustangs, Dodge Chargers, Tan Fords, going down hill at 55, easily turns to 65 unless on the brakes.

Interstate 240 near Exit Number Fairview Rd exit 8

APD does their VASCAR training just over the hill as you’re coming East towards the Fairview Rd exit. You’ll be tooling down the road, come over a hill, and BAM! 30 APD cars sitting there waiting for you!

Interstate 26 near French Broad River Crossing

East bound I-26 near MM 35 immediately past the French Broad river bridge on the right. There is a radar source in this area causing false alarms from radar detectors and allowing easy stealth for a real radar gun.
