Statesville Rd near Bankside Dr

On Statesville RD (U.S. 21) between Stumptown Rd and Rich Hatchett Rd there is a heavy police presence here. In between Stumptown Rd and Rich Hatchett Rd, Statesville Rd takes a dip and the local police usually sit in this area on the shoulder as vehicles come down the hill on either direction. Specifically they sit at the bottom of the hill near the Monteith Park neighborhood entrance (which is Bankside Dr). Have seen them here day and night and the grass is brown on the side of the road because they sit here so much.

My work takes me to exit 18… There is a very high frequency of blue lights usually just before exit 19. And also I see them on the north side, just as cars cross into Huntersville.

Not necessarily just a speed trap but “an anything they can get trap.” The Huntersville Police (Dark Blue Crown Vic or sometimes an Explorer or Charger hide behind the building (currently the Butter Bean Market) Huntersville made the mistake of going in with a few neighboring towns to take over bankrupt Adelphia cable and their venture MI connection has been losing millions every year since so they are looking for every way to increase revenue. The courts are corrupt in NC so you have a very slim chance of winning if you go to trial without representation. They just want to get paid.
