Wake Forest, North Carolina Speed Traps

I have noticed that WFSD and SHP love to sit in the median with their lights OFF at night just as your leaving Wake County they like to use the bushes for extra cover.

Be aware of the black and white charger! This happened to a friend of mine, we were going along US1 North headed home and had the DIRTIEST trick I have ever seen pulled on us. I believe it was a Wake PD car but the officer kept tale gating us and attempted to get us to race on 3 different occasions at stoplights. Having enough of his bag of tricks I told my friend to slow down so he would go about his business.

I have often seen police cars sitting in the Pet Smart/Staples parking lot clocking cars on Retail Dr. The speed limit through here is 25 and they will nail you at 35+

98 Bypass is 55 MPH but when you right turn onto Retail Dr. the speed limit drops to 25 MPH! There are frequently police holed up next to Goodberrys or Chick-Filet with their radar on shortly after this right turn. I got caught 2 wks ago. My 1st speeding ticket ever in 45 yrs of driving!

Wake Forest PD sits under the overpass, mostly on the southbound side, The speed limit is 55, but it is easy to go over as the road slopes downhill about an 1/8 of a mile approaching the overpass.
