Boston Heights, Ohio Speed Traps

Highway changes to expressway though speed limit still at 55 MPH. Police hide will all lights off as you leave Boston Heights before speed changes to 65 MPH. Speed trap exists solely to generate revenue for Boston Heights as the only thing that makes this stretch of highway unsafe are the police weaving in and out of traffic. I personally know of two accidents here caused by police.

This township is notorious for its enforcement of SR8 since the early 1980’s. Locals refer to their officers as "The Boston Strangler". Watch out for poorly marked speed zones and small speed limit signs. They also have the dubious distinction of once hiring a conviced felon to become the Chief of Police. The like to park in the grass well off the highway or on the street that runs parallel to the highway.
