Speed trap on Normandy Lane, between Spring Valley Rd. &
Sheehan Rd. They sit at the bottom of the hill on side of the road. Trees block your sight of them utnil its too late. Posted speed,25 mph hard to maintain. Coasting or light braking required. also sit in cul de sac at 4 way stop sign at Marcia Jeanne Rd. A full, complete, dead stop required or ticket is issued.
Social Row Road near Yankee Trace Drive
Centerville police now patrolling Social Row Road between Yankee Street and Sheehan Road. Motorists are being warned and/or ticketed for exceeding the unposted speed limit of 35 mph upon entering the City limits of Centerville.
State Route 48 near Edenhurst Drive
Centerville Police sit on the side street to the west of St Rt 48/S. Main st. In between Edenhurst and Bristol Dr. Usually there midday every weekday, but can be there any time at all. It is easy to go over 35 on this road as it is 4 lanes divided. It can be difficult to see the police because they sometimes hide behind the trees. They generally wont get you for 35-45, but I see cars get nailed for going over that all the time.
Normandy Lane near State Route 725 & Alex Bell
Normandy Lane between Route 725 and Paragon/Alex Bell has always been a speed trap. 25 mph is strictly enforced there day and night as the patrol cars hide in well camouflaged side streets and driveways. You have to ride your break to maintain 25 mph. It’s nearly impossible. Careful!
Mandel Drive near Spring Valley Street
This is a street zoned for residential, with a 25 mph. However, the road is very wide, and it feels like it should be 35.. but don’t you dare do it! The cops sit parked along the curb, so they look like a parked car. Low light bars, you don’t even see it coming. Theres also a stop sign covered by tree braches (summer and spring) be vigilant.
