North Olmsted, Ohio Speed Traps
Interstate 480 near McKenzie and Fitch
There are at least 3 lanes of traffic and was heading West on I-480. As you go around the corner they are parked there and stand outside the car with their laser gun. I had my detector but he instant on and got me. I was talking with passengers and wasn’t paying attention until it was too late. This was between McKenzie and Fitch and considered to be North Olmsted. This is an area a few miles after I-10 which is 65 mph.
Lorain Road near Power Sub Station
Usually around the afternoon rush hour or at night, there is sometimes a cop hiding by the sub station on the olmsted/ridgeville border of lorain road. They are also in other places all along that section of lorain from Chestnut school to bagley road. Big speed trap of a road.
Interstate 480 near Stearns Road
Law enforcement will clock east or west bound traffic. They have a S.T.O.P. program that generates their overtime pay.

Cantebury Rd
Usually looking at traffic while hiding on the side streets or in some of the private drives. Early morning and evenings are no exception. North Olmsted Democrats (council is all Dem’s except 1) passed a law called the "Stop Program" that allows Police to use available patrol cars on overtime to hand out tickets. Since they must write a ticket (to cover the overtime) don’t expect to get a warning. This is one of the few ways they get overtime.
