Rocky River, Ohio Speed Traps
Clifton Road which turns into Lake Road in Rocky River – just over the bridge. A car is parked waiting for drivers. To be safe go 25 miles per hour over bridge.
There is no right turn onto Gasser between 4-6PM. A Rocky River policeman is always there on Gasser waiting to get someone. It cost me $145.00.
Patrol cars sometimes sit right at the exit of the highway or close to the median with radar guns. Sundays are their favorite days and they’ve always got someone pulled over. One other way they catch drivers is for the officer to sit on the McKinley overpass and clock them as they drive under the overpass towards Rocky River. Don’t see the patrol cars until you’re already in their radar. It’s Lakewood and Rocky Rivers little Linndale.
Rocky River Police car (usually marked)sits in a open parking lot out of view from oncomers from the Clifton-Detroit Bridge from Lakewood. Radar gun is used. Speed turns from 35mph on bridge to immediately 25 when in Rocky River (off bridge)..which turns into Lake Road. Also, Lakewood police (usually motorcycle) sits on the other end of Clifton-Detroit Bridge coming from Rocky River (East)…to trap either coming or going traffic. (he hides in the bushes with the cycle)…Flashes Radar …
Officers legally park in Lakewood(city East end of bridge)and get eastbound speeders-usually write at 45 which is 10 over limit-especially on days when Cleveland sports teams are playing
