On the east side of SR 91 (Darrow Rd.), I’ve seen them sit a good way back into the parking lot of Leisure Time. More common during the months that the park isn’t open.

Hibbard Road near Darrow Road

Stow, OhioNov 09, 20070 Comments

On the west side of Darrow Road. Traveling west towards Hudson Drive, there is a dip in the road and on the right(north) side of Hibbard, in a residents driveway up on the hill is where he sits. If you are going west you won’t see him until its too late, that is in the summer when the foliage covers him, in the fall/winter you should see him. Traveling from Hudson drive towards Darrow Road though, you will not see him until you pass him.

Fishcreek Road near Call Road

Stow, OhioSep 02, 20070 Comments

This is in a school zone but this is a posting for when the trap is done outside of school hours. 35 MPH road, officer sits on south grounds of Fishcreek Elementary School on the west side of the road behind trees offering perfect cover to clock both northbound and southbound traffic and check for proper stopping from Call Road onto Fishcreek Road. Only a southbound motorist can see the patrol car far too late to take any action. A northbound motorist will not be able to see the black patrol car at all. A credit to the police, it is a good trap. Fortunately the police allow a reasonable speed allowance to compensate to conditions except when school is in session and is obviously necessary to enforce the speed limit at those times.
