Stow, Ohio Speed Traps
Intersection of Steels Corner and OH Rte 8 (northbound)
The cop (outside his car, with a hand-held radar unit) will stand on the grassy area on the right side of the freeway, just north of the overpass (Steels Corners over Rte 8), clocking motorists as they travel under the overpass. I’ve noticed this on weekend mornings; I haven’t noticed them at other times.
4400 block of Hudson Drive – Northbound
Hudson Drive is a nice, wide, straight 4-lane highway, but the speed limit is only 35 mph. Heading northbound near the 4400 block there are a couple of commercial driveways with trees that obscure the presence of the waiting patrol car that will nail you with the radar gun. Very easy to go 10-15 mph or more over the limit if you are not familiar with the area/speed limit. As of April 2014 total fine is $141 for 1-15 mph over, $171 for 16-30 mph over (ouch). Officer was friendly, but no mercy for 16 mph over.

They will always sit in either the parking lot of kimpton school or some of the side streets. sometimes they’re even in driveways. once you get past pambi farms (going towards amrsh road) they swon’t bother you
