Bartlesville, Oklahoma Speed Traps
Speed limit is 35 mph on south side of bridge; then 45 mph on north side; radar is shot from north side as cars travel north and start to accelerate into 45 mph stretch.
highway patrol will set behind a "welcome to Bartlesville sign" as you come into town from tulsa on 75. It drops from 50 to 45 right at the sign, and i have seen at least 10 people pulled over in the microtel parking lot in the last 2 1/2 weeks.
Be cautious when traveling through Ramona, OK. US HWY 75 runs right through this tiny little city and they have a very aggressive police department. This city is fast becoming the next Big Cabin, OK which was not long ago, forbidden from writing tickets a long a major thoroughfare. Ramona also have a suggested 60 MPH speed limit when traveling through a dangerous intersection because too many people fail to yield. This speed is not required but speeding through this intersection is likely a bad thing – do not drive above the posted 70 MPH or RPD will sure enough write you a ticket.
Ramona with a population 580 sits about 5 miles south of Bartlesville along state highway 75. The north city limits sign lies just before a railroad overpass and it does state that it is radar controlled. Less than a mile south of that sign you are completely away from town. The problem is that I have seen patrol cars sitting 3 to 4 miles south of town and there is no city limits\radar controlled sign to be seen.
Officer parks off the edge of the street near the Mormon Church with radar.
Southbound drivers almost cannot see him as they round the corner from WalMart.
