Bartlesville, Oklahoma Speed Traps
Ramona
Ramona with a population 580 sits about 5 miles south of Bartlesville along state highway 75. The north city limits sign lies just before a railroad overpass and it does state that it is radar controlled. Less than a mile south of that sign you are completely away from town. The problem is that I have seen patrol cars sitting 3 to 4 miles south of town and there is no city limits\radar controlled sign to be seen.
On Swan Drive between WalMart and Nowata Road
Officer parks off the edge of the street near the Mormon Church with radar.
Southbound drivers almost cannot see him as they round the corner from WalMart.
Madison South Street near State Highway 60 East
A car will sit on the east side of the road with his radar on while maybe 2 or 3 cars will sit in the housing development on the west side of Madison back from the intersection where they can’t be seen. Speed limit is 40 even tho the area is semi-rural. This is a shortcut to the mall and therefore heavily traveled. Speedlimit drops dramatically from 40 to 30 in less than a 1/2 mile.
Frank Phillips Boulevard
Between Boulevard Pharmacy and Homeland on Frank Phillips Blvd. unmarked car or truck shoots radar and multiple cops wait over hill at Comanchee Center for victims. I noticed all cops being more aggressive. They must of raised their quotas up.
US Highway 60 East near Tri-County Tech School
They park in the school parking lot, and when you come over the hill they have got you caught
