Big Cabin, Oklahoma Speed Traps
U.S. 69 at Interstate 44 in front of the Big Cabin Truck stop
A speed trap in every sense of the word. I’ve talked with some of the natives. Its a rural community of about 300 people with a Police Force of four police officers, three police cars and a drug dog. If you have Texas car tags or hispanic features, your chances of being stopped are greater I believe. How can a rural community of 300 people afford four police officers, three police cars and a drug dog? It must be supported by speeding tickets. Follow the truckers who now bypass Big Cabin by using highways 82 and 28 through Langley, Ok.
Highway 69 & Will Rodgers Turnpike
This is the only income Big Cabin has,( I lived there). The Town is 2 miles away and has a 65 zone. The only place he works is the stretch at the Turnpike and truck stop gates. He would ticket his own mother. But as posted earlier he loves Texans.
I-75/ 69 just before the turnpike
As you top the hill you are in a 65mph and then you see the 45mph, but not in time to slow down to 45. It seemed while I sat there with 3 kids witnessing the event that only my TX car was pulled over despite all the OK cars that also passed the 2nd car doing speed trap enforcement.
